Week Eight presentation – formative with feedback.

Feedback – Think about lighting and elevation. Meaning is thorough and thought out well. Trees bring a lot into space. The design fits well in the space and emphasises what is already present well. Think about seating and a new tile design for the flooring.

Laser cut 2Ds:

Creating 2Ds off my rhino model to then lasercut out. The red markings are to be engraved to the pieces dont fall apart yet still contained the detail which I wanted.

I had to scale up my model from 1:100 to 1:75 so that the window frames would be a thick enough dimension to be cut out, as the laser is 0.2mm wide.

Laser cutting took a lot longer than expected, 3 hours as my model includes a lot of intricate details. The card is laser cut out then glued together to form two 1:75 models which act as context for my design, getting a great look at how the design will interact with the glasshouses.
