Beginning 3D modelling of design using Rhino 7. Reshaping of gifted street rhino file to become more accurate to reality so designing can commence.

Created an opening in the original building. (original building had no purpose except to access the rooftop for maintenance of filters and fans etc. The form curves around the Citigroup building in a natural live-like manner. It folds downward like a seashell – replicating the pipi shell.

Quite slug/worm like, I am unhappy of the shape and need to create another design later on. The form does not support the narrative which I am wanting to communicate.

Beautiful interior perspectives of the design. The curves beautifully flow the light and shadows around playfully.

Exploration of the Tea making ritual. Natural tea leaves create a warm smell and a sense of hosting.

The aromatic tea is filled of nutrients. The biological health benefits of drinking tea are large. Tea drinking may have begun in the region of Yunnan, where it was used for medicinal purposes. It is also believed that in Sichuan, “people began to boil tea leaves for consumption into a concentrated liquid without the addition of other leaves or herbs, thereby using tea as a bitter yet stimulating drink, rather than as a medicinal concoction.”Prepared by pouring hot or boiling water over cured or fresh leaves of Camellia sinensis, an evergreen shrub native to China and East Asia. After water, it is the most widely consumed drink in the world.

The earliest known physical evidence of tea was discovered in 2016 in the mausoleum of Emperor Jing of Han in Xi’an, indicating that tea from the genus Camellia was drunk by Han dynasty emperors as early as the 2nd century BC.
