My design elements are lifted into there different applied levels, The ground is tiled, then the support foundation which is required for the negative of the risen pool which appears to float, the LED strip lights are applied underneath the pool which the water will sit among. The planted boxes will sit upon the layed tiles which the trees will grow.
Below are the photographs surrounding the site of the Auckland Domain Winter Gardens which are the most relevant to my design, tying my design to the site and not ignoring the importance of what lives here.

Render 1, Atmospheric image 1: here sits two new friends talking about their lives and their lost loved ones. They bond over their new similarities. The beautiful moon alines with the tree and which creates a beautiful glistening reflection over the risen pool.

Render 2, Atmospheric image 2: here spread out are two men, freely able to be emotional without judgement of others. The sky floods with the Matariki stars. One looks upwards, led by the trees, the other looks downward towards to projected stars upon the shimmery pool. The stars are lit up nicely.

Render 3, Atmospheric image 3: Here is an elderly couple, reminiscing over their lives. Romantically framed by the entrance of the wintergarden. The water leds them towards the tropical glasshouse.

This was a draft layout of my presentation, it was not chosen as I thought it was too spread out and didn’t cleverly project my design with a glance. The statement displayed on the wall created clutter and complicated the display.

This was another draft layout for my presentation. I did not go ahead with this version as I thought the atmospheric shot as an A1 underwhelmed the A1 with the plan and sections, and therefore becoming a negative rather than a benefit, it was unnecessary.

This is my model of my wintergarden courtyard and glasshouse together.

My third year Fabrication Design presentation with my positioning statement laying next to my model allowing the viewers to look into the design more if searching for deeper meaning. The statement is printed on translucent paper reflecting the glassiness of the risen pool water and the opaque glass houses. The atmospheric photos don’t take away from the plans and sections yet emotionally reach the view through the realism. You can imagine yourself reflecting by the pool. The inspiring photographs and materials are smaller as they remain impactful yet are not needing to be larger
